New mommie's stories

Alhamdulillahirabbil'alamiin,

I've delivered my first son on May 14th. He was a big one, I mean it :)
Just after my parents arrived in Jakarta on Saturday night, we (parents and me) babyproofed our home to welcome the newcomer. He was expected to arrive at the end of May but came out just a bit sooner to face the world with his smile.

I took the maternity leave on May 13th. Yep! You're right. Very good timing *bigGRIN* for a new mom and her baby. From that day, our stories have practically just started.

I thanked Allah Subhanallahuwata'ala for smooth delivery and IMD (early latch-on) and most important a healthy baby boy. We stayed 3nights 4days at the hospital and were very excited to come home with the baby.

Here's the pic when we were about to return home with all kind hearted midwives

Was I nervous? I guess so but at that time maybe just like all moms, we wouldn't know yet how the journey would become.

I couldn't be more thankful to Allah subhanallahuwata'ala because the breastfeeding moments ran smoothly. Followed by the some kind of sleepless nights hahahaha, and every single thing that will amaze us, how such a little creature would take up all of our energy. Reread again that part. All of our energy hahaha.

But it is worth everytime I look up to his eyes. The look of deep need.
That someone really depends on you.

The presence of a child brings up a lot of happinessamd craziness haha.
Everyone has a chore and gets his part to contribute, such as sunbathing the baby..

Putting the baby to sleep ..

Carrying the baby ..

Sleep position his head (this is hard one)...

And so on...
The stories of my little family have just entered first chapter with many pages to be filled with love and happiness. I pray to Allah subhanallahuwata'ala to be given guidance, knowledge and patient to grow old with my little munchkin :)

He's moving now from afternoon nap. Sign for me to end this note :)
